Over 60 families attended the Welcome Reception for new international Berkeley parents hosted by Vice Chancellor Scott Biddy at I-House.  Parent Advisory Board members, Christina and Howard Janssen, as well as parent and international relations staff also partook in the celebration.

The Berkeley Club of Singapore gathered for dinner and a club meeting at its annual Summer Gathering at the Function Room, Newton GEMS, 50 Newton Road (Nearest MRT Novena), Singapore.

The Berkeley Club of France gathered for a cocktail reception at the Galery Deborah Zafman in Paris to welcome new students and their families to the Berkeley community.  Professor Susanna Barrows and a couple of her graduate students attended the event as well.

The "Dinner for 6 Strangers" in the UK is back by popular demand.  Attend as a guest or host a dinner party of your own and partake in an old alumni tradition.  UC alumni in California have been participating in this tradition for more than 40 years, bringing countless alumni, students, faculty, and staff together.

Last year's dinners were very successful and helped raise money for a good cause.  Once again, we are asking dinner guests to donate £15 to help us raise money for The Allan Buch Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides grants for students facing emergency financial hardship after they have arrived in the UK.  The fund also supports students wishing to undertake scholarly, creative and community projects as well as internships.

The University of California Trust (UK) booked 12 platinum places on the British 10K London for alumni who ran for the Allan Buch Memorial Scholarship Fund for students on the Education Abroad Program.
