Dear Golden Bears in Hong Kong,

We first signed up to newsletters from the Berkeley Club of Hong Kong (BCHK) not knowing what to expect. Fast forward to several years later, our many friendships and circles today are formed via the contacts made through the alumni network here, through the various events held by past and present BCHK committee members. We feel very grateful to have been able to benefit from these close connections, and wanted to do our part in giving back to the ever-expanding and diverse Cal community.

The COVID-19 pandemic has not made things easy in the past few years. In challenging times like this, we need more connections, not fewer. Working closely with the committee, we have been more devoted than ever to keep our alumni network connected, online (see below for the multiple platforms with which you could stay involved) and offline (while remaining fully compliant with government COVID-19 guidelines). As we adapt to “new normal”, the boundaries of geographic locations have also blurred, giving rise to more ways for bears to connect with alumni communities in the region and the world. In the upcoming year, we will continue to do our best to create more opportunities to bring our alumni together.
