The Berkeley Club of Shenzhen is run by dedicated alumni volunteers, placing their professional expertise and diverse areas of interest at the service of the university and fellow Golden Bears. Tim Tu builds communities by developing online-offline ecosystems to immerse in shared interests and explore new dimensions. As a serial intrapraneur turned social entrepreneur, he brings diverse people together to co-create progress. At DCL, he collaborates with culture masters and technology developers to deliver interactive media for digital transformation and economy.

Kenneth is a veteran in China's commercial real estate industry.

Xinyi Li (LL.M. '15)
Director, Walmart Global Sourcing

Xinyi holds a LL.M. degree from Berkeley Law. He has strong interests and diverse experiences in e-commerce industry. He enjoys working with diverse groups and inspiring stakeholders to accurately assess core elements of complex problems, generating creative solutions and achieve optimum resolution. Prior to Walmart, he worked at Alibaba Group on global e-commerce strategy and operations.

Helina Bao (B.A. Sociology, Legal Studies, Media Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies '18)

Born and raised in Shenzhen, Helina finds passion in law and education. Since graduation, she has worked on educ startup and consulted kids on academic planning, and is working on her wechat column (@Helina Bao) on female empowerment, education and career suggestions. She is also an executive member of the Law Academy aiming to promote citizens' understandings on laws and rights and will be attending law school in the year of 2021.

Qi "Hermes" Tang (B.A. Statistics '14)

Born and raised in Shenzhen, Hermes finds passion in big data and artificial intelligence. She enjoys working with creative spirits and possesses strong problem-solving mindset. After studying and working in California for nearly 10 years, she’s now back in her hometown and works for an investment company.

Zhuoxian "Jason" Yang (B.A. Applied Mathematics '18)

Jason holds  a B.A. in Applied Mathematics & Statistics from the University of California at Berkeley. He is always passionate about financial investment and technology. As a former founder of an ed-tech company in Silicon Valley and having previous investment banking experience in Hong Kong, he is currently responsible for post-investment management and financial due-diligence in a private equity firm.

Shao Kung "Chris" Chen (B.A. Architecture '99)
Founder and Design Director, Made With Care (MWC) Design Studios

Chris holds a B.A .in Environmental Design from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Architecture from Columbia University. Born in Taiwan and grew up in Los Angeles. He has worked on architectural projects from Skyscrapers in New York to Luxury Hotels throughout China. Chris started Made With Care Design Studio in Guangzhou focusing on F&B Hospitality Environments, project ranges from Craft Beer & Pizza to 2 Star Michelin restaurants

Founder, Hanhe Brand Consultant

Hanyan holds a B.S. in Environmental Economics & Policy from the University of California at Berkeley. Born and raised in Guangdong, Hanyan finds his passion in design and technology. Since graduation, he has founded a brand consulting startup in Guangzhou, Hanhe Brand Consultant, helping brands create more valuable experiences for their clients.

Zhiying "Clarisse" Zhen (B.A. Applied Mathematics '17)
Customer Success Manager, Microsoft

Zhiying is a proud alumna of UC Berkeley, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics. After her studies, she returned to her roots in Guangzhou to kick-start her career in the IT industry, leveraging her strong mathematical background to drive customer success in the tech space. Outside of her professional endeavors, She is an avid swimmer and hiker, always seeking out new adventures in the great outdoors.
