The Berkeley Club of Japan will host its 18th Knowledge Agora in cooperation with the American Center Japan. Prof. Kan Kimura of Kobe University will speak on the topic: “Why is Korea leaning toward China?” This talk (in Japanese) will deal with recent developments in Korea’s foreign relations in connection with the social and economic changes that have occurred during the post-Cold War era.
Having addressed these issues in his recent book, How Do We Differ in Portraying the History between the Koreans and the Japanese? (『日韓歴史認識問題とは何か』ミネルヴァ書房、2014年), Prof. Kimura will provide insights on the subject. We invite you to participate in the forum and encourage you to share your constructive opinions at the event.
