It is that time of the year to view Tung flowers and fireflies again! Though last year we were off the season a bit we certainly had a good time hiking, eating brick-oven baked bread, and Hakka food!
Berkeley Club of Taiwan TCM (Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli) Branch invites Berkeley alumni and their friends and family for a fun afternoon with Tung flower viewing and hiking, along with evening fireflies spotting after a delicious Hakka dinner. We all know Tung flowers are also known as “May Snow” which can be seen throughout the TCM area. Fireflies have also been re-populated via the environmental restoration in these areas. We will also reserve some brick-oven baked bread for people to buy at the end of the hike which were a great hit last year. Dinner will follow at 7:00pm at Kao Ting Farm 高頂農莊.
Rides from Taipei or Hsinchu (Chupei) HSR can be arranged.
