Jordi Gual Ph.D. ’87 (UC Berkeley) will discuss Global Economy and Economic Trends. Jordi is Chairman of the Board of Directors of VidaCaixa since April 2021. Between 2016 and 2021, he served as Chairman of CaixaBank. Prior to this appointment, he was Chief Economist and Head of Strategic Planning and Research for CaixaBank and Director-General of Planning and Strategic Development for CriteriaCaixa.
Carles Vergara M.F.E. ’04, M.S. ’06, Ph.D. ’08 (UC Berkeley) will discuss “From Ground Up: Real Estate Trends Transforming Cities and Lifestyles”. Carles is a Professor in the Financial Management Department at IESE Business School. He has worked at Allianz Hedge Fund Partners, Allianz Group, the Center for Transport Innovation, and the European Investment Bank.
Iñigo Gallo (UCLA) will discuss “Social Enterprises: A New, Meaningful Way of Doing Business”. Iñigo’s work has been published in different refereed and non-refereed journals in marketing and psychology. He has also presented his research at leading conferences in consumer behavior including the Association of Consumer Research and Society of Consumer Psychology.
The event will be moderated by Sebastien Brion M.S. ’09, Ph.D. ’10 (UC Berkeley). Sebastien is a Professor in the Department of Managing People in Organizations at IESE. He holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Psychology from Tufts University. Prior to pursuing an academic career, he was a human resources consultant in the Bay Area.
