Steve is the CEO of Nutritec-Enjoy Corp., a leading medical nutrition product company in Taiwan. Before joining Nutritec-Enjoy, he was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong. Steve received his M.B.A. from MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to MIT, Steve has done various ventures in both Taiwan and the US, focusing on technology and financial service sectors. Steve also serves on the board of directors for International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) Taiwan.
Under the leadership of Richard Chang ’86, the Berkeley Club of Taiwan continues to serve all Cal alumni in Taiwan by connecting alumni, students, faculty, and parents. The executive committee of the club comprises volunteer alumni from a variety of professional fields, all dedicated to the sustainable, long-term development of the Berkeley Club of Taiwan. The club also provides — through its Berkeley Club of Taiwan Scholarship Fund — financial support to students of Taiwanese descent at Berkeley.
Ashley graduated from Haas in 2009. She serves as the special assistant to the president for a small boutique mall in Taipei city. Before Haas, she worked in the financial service industry for four years, and thanks to Haas, she has found her real passion in the retail and service industry. Ashley also recently became a new mom with a three month old daughter Heidi. Ashley enjoys yoga, spinning, reading and watching American TV series when she is not busy changing diapers.
Ted seeks to develop his professional competence and explore the business world. During his free time, Ted loves reading books, playing badminton, and watching NBA basketball. He hopes to connect young Cal graduates with the Berkeley Club of Taiwan to develop their networks in Taiwan.
Andy grew up in Taipei and Southern California and has been an active Berkeley Club of Taiwan member since 2008. He organized the first live Big Game viewing event in Taiwan and initiated various indoor and outdoor social activities for the club. Andy is honored to forever be a Golden Bear.
Terence graduated from UC Berkeley in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in Architecture. He enjoys basketball, food, wine, and cars. Terence excels at communication, negotiation, organizational planning, and has over 20 years of experience in the field of retail, food solution, marketing and EC.
Kylie was born and raised in Taipei but chose to pursue her B.A. degree at UC Berkeley. After graduating from Cal, Kylie continued her education at the Monterey Institute of International Studies to be an English-Chinese interpreter. She is now a freelance interpreter and an English hostee based in Taipei. As she has to travel a lot for different assignments, she tries her best to contribute the rest of her time as CEO (also known as chief entertainment officer) for the Berkeley Club of Taiwan to make sure all the Bears in Taiwan are having fun and closely connected.
Jack was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 16. He is passionate about using technology/systematic ways to solve complex business problems. His work experience includes engineering, consulting, intellectual properties, supply chain management, and marketing. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering, dancing and traveling. GO BEARS!
Sharon was raised in the U.S.A. and Taiwan, and was drawn to Berkeley by the cultural diversity and liberal atmosphere of Northern California. Despite receiving an education in mechanical/electrical engineering and bioengineering, she found her passion in investment banking and private equity. She is also an avid fan of reading, painting and classical piano.
Renee has been an active volunteer supporting Berkeley alumni activities. After serving as President for the Haas Alumni Club of Taiwan for seven years, she currently is the co-chair for the newly created Taoyuan-HsinChu-Miaoli (TCM) of the Berkeley Club of Taipei to involve alumni in the TCM area. Renee spent her entire career in technology fields in both Silicon Valley and Taiwan. She is currently working for a conglomerate tech firm to incubate new businesses and venture investment.
Amy graduated from Berkeley Haas MBA program in 2014. She and her husband Kaiping, a Cal Boalt Hall grad, enjoyed their four years in the San Francisco Bay Area before relocating back to Taiwan in 2016. Amy is a passionate marketer who has worked in the field of marketing in consumer, software, and web industries.
Ann Yang is a Taiwan attorney providing her clients legal services with a global vision, innovation, and profession. Her legal practice includes international commercial dispute prevention and resolution, with a focus on medical, biotech, food & drug, and public health laws and industry. At leisure, she enjoys providing social services to her communities, playing tennis, and have fun with her miniature pinscher.
Christie holds a NTU bachelor’s degree in economics and pursued her master degree in public policy at UC Berkeley. After graduating from Cal, she worked in the financial industry for six years as an equity analyst and joined a startup in early 2017. Christie enjoys traveling, reading and is learning how to play the guitar.
During his Cal years, Albert was heavily involved in the Taiwanese community and was active in the Taiwanese Student Association at Berkeley throughout his semesters at Cal, serving as a social officer and eventually becoming president of the club. He finds great passion in organizing and coordinating events and is excited for what he can bring to the table at Berkeley Club of Taiwan (especially as the youngest member of the committee!). Outside of the club, Albert does everything related to digital marketing and has been involved in launching several extremely successful Kickstarter campaigns.
Charley graduated with a B.A. in Integrative Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology and Endocrinology. He subsequently earned a M.S. in Biotechnology from Northwestern and an M.B.A. from Cornell University. He is currently the senior business development manager at Taiwan Liposome Company leading global biopharmaceutical partnerships and strategies. In his spare time, Charley enjoys volunteering for the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
Ron graduated from Berkeley and returned to Taiwan in 2012. He is now working for his family business in textile industry as a Sales Manager and supplying innovative performance fabrics to international brands like Gap, Ralph Lauren, FILA, etc. Prior to his family business, he worked for Dupont Taiwan.He is also passionate about helping young Taiwanese students apply to study abroad and sharing career advices with young graduates. In his free time, he likes to work out and read.
Mary was born and raised in the Bay Area. She majored in Environmental Economics and Policy and graduated from Cal in 2014. She moved to Taiwan in 2016, and is currently an analyst at NMN Advisors, an investor relations consulting firm. Mary enjoys reading, outdoor activities, karaoke, dance, and is learning how to play the ukulele.
Yassin majored in Cognitive Science and graduated from Cal in 2014. He is half Egyptian and half Taiwanese. It is his pleasure to join the Berkeley Club's Executive Committee and he is eager to see everyone in the upcoming events. Currently, he is a student at NTU masters program studying EECS.
