Spring Poker Night

Join fellow Golden Bears for a fun evening with friends!  Poker night is not just for hardcore tournament players, it is about fellowship. The event will be held at Jack Huang's residence. Jack has been hosting poker at his house since 2010 and thus has plenty of experience to make sure everyone has a good time!  For those who have already played at his home, the venue certainly lives up to the nickname “The House of Horrors,” so bring your lucky charm, an empty stomach, and a cheerful spirit! Note that the dinner will start at 6:00pm and game from 7:00pm.

Hanami Party

Celebrate the arrival of Spring with alumni, family, and friends from all University of California campuses, as well as USC and Stanford. Admission is free, but please bring some food and drinks to share, as well as leisure sheets for sitting. Berkeley at the London Transport Museum

The London Transport Museum is opening its doors to Berkeley alumni and their families. Join us for a welcome talk by a representative of the Museum who will provide an introduction to the Museum, and then feel free to explore the Museum.

Pirates! An evening with Professor Karras

Join alumni and friends for what promises to be an engaging talk by Professor Alan Karras. "Smugglers, Pirates, and the States: History and Political Economy in Global Perspective" will explore the connection between the 18th century pirates of the Caribbean, Somali pirates today, and citizen smugglers in both periods.

Alumni Roundtable Dinner

Join the next alumni roundtable dinner hosted by Alex Frangos '97, Asia Editor, Heard on the Street, The Wall Street Journal. Mr. Frangos directs the Heard's Asia-based team, which digs into the region's leading companies, economies, and financial markets.  He was a contributor to the Journal's 2013 China Rising Risks series on the dangers lurking in the financial system of the world's second-largest economy.  Discussions will focus on how journalists cover the biggest economic and business stories in Asia.

Attend our happy hour social @ Yiamas with fellow Golden Bears and friends. Sampling platters of authentic Greek cuisine and free tequila shots from Casamigos (first-come, first-served basis) will be provided.  Drinks specials will also be offered for purchase.
